How To Make Pastillas De Leche



Ingredients:

7 cups Fresh Milk or Evap
1 cup white sugar
3/4 cup white sugar for dusting
3 tbsp butter
1 1/4 cup milk powder
5 cans condensed milk




Procedure:


1. Preheat pan. Cook fresh milk combined with sugar. Constantly stir for about an hour or until milk has reduced quantity or has become sticky.

2. Add condensed milk and continue stirring.

3. Add milk powder and continue stirring until all powder is dissolved.

4. Mix until most of the liquid evaporated leaving a stiff and sticky mixture. If some of the mixture remains on the side of the pan, it is a sign that liquid has already evaporated and cooking is finished.

5. Cool the mixture by pouring it in a bowl placed on an ice-cold water.

6. On a flat surface on a table, prepare your rolling materials.

7. Pour dusting sugar on a baking paper or a foil paper. Start rolling your Pastillas de Leche to your desired size.

Puto Cheese Filipino Style


INGREDIENTS:

2 cups all purpose flour
1.5 cups fresh milk
1/4 tsp iodized salt
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
Slices of Cheese


PROCEDURE:

1. Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together.
2. Add milk to the combined ingredients and mix them together until smooth.
3. Pour mixture into small muffin pans which have been greased beforehand.
4. Place sliced cheese on top of each.
5. Steam for about 20-30 minutes.
